Organizing Baby Essentials: Way Basics Cube Plus Review & Coupon Code!

Way Basics

With baby #2 due in just several weeks, it’s time to start thinking about setting up the nursery and getting everything prepared for our new arrival! One of the main questions is where and how to store all of the little baby essentials — you know, diapers, creams, wipes, burp cloths, receiving blankets, pacifiers, bibs, hats, socks, mittens, and more. Speaking from experience with our first child, it’s best if these necessities are quick and easy to access, because you’ll be using them ALL the time! Way Basics Cube Plus ReviewOne storage method I particularly love for baby essentials are stacking cubes. Way Basics makes some awesome storage cubes that are absolutely perfect for organizing baby necessities and keeping them within reach.

I reviewed a regular-sized Storage Cube from Way Basics earlier this year, and I have been so happy to have it for Baby M’s books, toys and puzzles in the playroom. (Read my review here). That little cube has come in handy so many times it’s crazy. Really, there are so many uses for Way Basics cubes in any room of the house, and they hold up really well, too!

I was very excited to review two of the larger-sized Cube Plus storage cubes for the nursery. I knew the bigger size would be better because we have so many baby items to organize! We are doing the nursery in an ABC theme with red, blue, brown and green, and I thought the blue storage cubes in particular would look great and add a lot to the room. I was right!

Way Basics storage cubes are made eco-consciously from safe, non-toxic recycled materials. They arrive in pieces, which means that “assembly” is required, but nothing is easier to assemble than a Way Basics cube! There are no tools required and each cube goes together with 4 simple steps in less than 5 minutes.

To put them together, simply peel the adhesives, put the pegs in, line the 4 pieces up and press them together. Stick the backer board on as the finishing touch. There you go!

Despite how easy they are to put together, the finished product looks very classy and not at all like something you just “stuck” together. My husband came in the room when I was done setting them up and said “Wow, you didn’t need my help building those?” They are not nearly as difficult to put together as wood shelves or cubes with screws and heavy pieces, yet they are every bit as attractive. I also like that they are so light, and yet sturdy enough to hold books and other heavy objects.

I decided to use the storage cubes for cloth diapers, wipes and diaper cream for now. They are so perfect for organizing anything though, and I am sure they will serve many other purposes in the future. These cubes are well worth their (affordable) price, and I highly recommend them for the nursery, playroom, and any other room of the house!

Thanks for the comment ladies! The best thing about the cubes is that they are non-toxic and formaldehyde free which means they are 100% safe for your little one! Definitely something to think about!

That looks easy enough to put together and a great way to store diapers so you can see them all :)

That looks really good, I really don’t have a place for my son’s diapers right now I keep them on the floor next to the TV as of now.

  8. Katie L says:

  9. Flora says:

I could definitely use some of these in a few areas of my home. They would hold baby items, fabric, yarn and more.

I love modular storage like this. Our needs change so quickly when we have growing families. How do you attach the top cube to the bottom cube so that baby doesn’t pull it down on herself once she’s mobile?

  11. Amanda S says:

I love these cubes! I have been looking at cubes to use to organize the closet in the nursery!

  12. Very cute storage idea! I use plastic storage tubs on the changing table but it’s not nearly as cute. I love that Motherlove butt cream by the way!
