Wholesale Keychain offers a wide selection of personalized keychains, both for retail and personal use. Keychains can be useful or decorative (or both!), and I think they are especially neat when they are engraved with a personal message.
Wholesale Keychain sent me two personalized keychains to review. The first one was their USB Flash Drive Keychain, which I had engraved with a special message and actually gave to my husband for Valentine’s Day (he’s a bit of a computer guy!). I typed up a letter for him in a document and loaded it on the keychain and added a few special photos before giving it to him. He really liked it and I felt good about giving him something meaningful AND really useful!

The Flash Drive keychain came in a little plastic box with a keychain clip and a lanyard for optional use. The Flash Drive has 1 GB of space on it and has a stainless steel casing. It works well and overall I’m a fan! These are great gift items and would also be great as promotional items for a business.

The second keychain I received from Wholesale Keychain was the Digital Photo Keychain by Tao. I also had it engraved with a special message and planned to keep it for my own personal use. That is, if I could get the thing to work! I plugged it into my computer, transferred my photos, and then left it charging for a while. I came back and unplugged the keychain from my computer, and it would not turn on! I then proceeded to leave it charging overnight, and in the morning it would still not turn on. Apparently I received a defective product. I contacted Wholesale Keychain and they got me in touch with Tao Electronics for a replacement keychain (with no need to return the defect). Customer service at Tao was very helpful and sent me another keychain promptly. They did not, however, include the engraving I had requested on the new model, so the keychain I ended up with does not have the engraving on the back. I’m a little bummed about that, and had I been an actual customer that paid an extra $5.99 for the engraving, would not have been very pleased.

Thankfully, the new Digital Photo Keychain worked immediately and I had no problems turning it on or transferring pictures. When viewing the pictures on the Tao Digital Keychain, you can either scroll through them manually or set it to slideshow mode. It’s a very basic device and the resolution of the pictures is not very high quality, but you can still see a fairly decent picture on the screen. The keychain comes in several different colors, and has 8 MB of internal memory which can store up to 99 pictures. It comes with a USB cable and instruction booklet.

Overall, I was very happy with the Flash Drive keychain, but very disappointed with the Digital Photo Keychain. I would probably not purchase anything made by Tao after my experience. I would, however, probably purchase from Wholesale Keychain because they offer a lot of other brands of keychains, including the Flash Drive keychain, that are not made by Tao and are much better quality.

I am a wife to my wonderful husband of 5 years and a stay-at-home mom to our two amazing little boys (Big M is 2 years old and Little M is 6 months old). When I'm not cleaning the house, playing with the boys, or changing diapers, I love to shop, sew, watch movies, sleep (ha!), and of course write in my blog!

I would probably keep this for myself!
